With the summer already here, most of us just want to enjoy the sunshine and the seaside breeze! If you are not able to escape the urban jungle this summer, how about bringing a piece of the beach to your patio? You can try this simple and very easy to make beach theme patio decoration idea. It can also be used as a small trellis and help you save some precious gardening space.
All you need is some burlap or twine, starfish decoration, seashells, and glue. Below are the links for materials similar to the stuff I used.
I also collected a few wooden sticks from the park.
To start, tie the wooden sticks with the twine or burlap. Do not tighten the knots until you have all the wooden sticks tied together because you may need to adjust the knots to keep the sticks straight.
Cut any excess burlap or twine. If you are using burlap, glue its ends to prevent them from unraveling.
Using hot glue, glue the starfish decorations on the wooden sticks.
If you have smaller sticks, you can add them to make a small trellis. Just make sure to glue these smaller sticks on what would be the back of the trellis.
Glue additional shells to the wood or the burlap.
Tie a piece of twine in the middle of the top wooden stick. Now your beach theme patio decoration is ready to be hanged. Be careful when handling it though – keep it straight because the decorative starfish and sticks may break if you twist it while carrying it.
