DIY picture frames are a great way to save money and make a unique home decor piece on your own. Today we will cover a very easy way to make picture frames using foam board, glue, thumbtacks, and nautical decorations such as twine and wood.
Each one of these DIY picture frame ideas takes less 15 minutes to complete. Below you can find links to materials similar to the ones I used.
1. Cut a rectangle from the foam board. The size of the rectangle depends on how wide you want the DIY picture frame to be.
2. Cut a second rectangle with sides 1/8″ shorter than the sides of the picture.
3. Using the thumbtacks, attach the picture to the back side of the foam board.
4. Glue the nautical decoration to the foam board. If after you glue the decoration you are still able to see the white color of the foam board (and if it bothers you), use acrylic paint and a very thin brush to color these white spots in a less shiny hue.
Because the picture frame is very light, you can use it as a DIY beach decor for bathroom. Use a small suction cup to attach it to the tile. And to attach the suction cup to the picture frame, make a small hole in the middle of the top side of the frame.
If you want to hang the frames with nails instead, hammer the nail on the wall and push the picture frame against it.
