From storing food to packing clothes or shoes, it is always handy to have some plastic bags around. If you have stored away plastic grocery bags and are now overwhelmed by bags jumping out at you from every drawer, this DIY plastic bag dispenser idea is the perfect solution. It is cheap and easy to make, and will help you organize in no time!
To make a this DIY plastic bag dispenser you’ll need an empty container of disinfecting wipes (like Clorox or Lysol), a patch of fabric, and glue. Below are links to the stuff I used:
To start, remove the label from the wipes container. If you are having trouble removing it, scrub it or soak it overnight in hot soapy water. Also, make sure that the plastic bags are flat, with their handles sticking out.
To store the plastic grocery bags inside the container, pull each bag about half way through the handles of the preceding bag. Then, push the bags inside the container.
To decorate the container, you can use a fabric patch and glue. Glue the ends of the fabric on the DIY plastic bag dispenser.
Finally, if the fabric patch is longer than the container, cut any excess and glue it on the bottom of the container.
To get a plastic bag out of the grocery bag organizer, simply pull the handles of the bag. You will immediately see the handles of the second bag once you pull the first one out.
You can leave these cute DIY plastic bag dispensers anywhere and pick a fabric pattern that matches the rest of your home decor. Even if you just want to store them in a kitchen cabinet, you will avoid the avalanche of bags coming your way as soon as you open it! And the best part – it only takes about 5 minutes to make them!
